Our school canteen is run by a Canteen Manger (Karen Solway), an assistant (Alison Daly) and a whole team of canteen volunteers who do a fantastic job of keeping the canteen operating smoothly.

The volunteers make a much valued contribution to the school - they enable us to keep the canteen open every school day for both recess and lunch and by reducing the number of staff we employ, we can keep our prices as reasonable as possible.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in our school canteen and want you to consider joining our team.

A canteen day is from 9am to 1:45pm, just one day a month. Most days we have 3 or 4 volunteers in the canteen and while it's a busy day, it is a great way to meet other school parents and your child will love seeing you behind the canteen counter!

If you would like to help us at canteen, or someone in your extended family would like to join our volunteers roster, we'd love to hear from you.

To join our roster for 2009, either:

• contact our Roster coordinator Ruth Quirk on 9418 8656 and let her know what day of each month you can help out.
