The LCPS Environment Group was formed in 2007 by a group of parents interested in Environmental initiatives.  Its three guiding principles are:

-          We will work to reduce the school’s impact on the natural environment.
-
We will work to enhance the physical and botanical school environment.
-
We will work to educate the school community about sustainable living and care for the
         environment.

In 2008 a Student Environment Club was formed and in 2009 a Teachers’ Environment Focus Group was created.

In 2008, projects included:

-          Refurbishment and landscaping of the school’s Frog Pond area.
